Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using ILSentinel ("the Service", "we", "us") at ILSentinel.net, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, you may not use the Service.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. By using the Service you represent that you meet this requirement. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.

3. Permitted Use

You may use ILSentinel to obfuscate .NET assemblies (.dll / .exe) that you own or have explicit written authorization to modify. You agree not to use the Service to:

  • Process files you do not own or lack authorization to modify.
  • Obfuscate malware, ransomware, spyware, or any other malicious software.
  • Circumvent license enforcement or copy-protection mechanisms in software you did not create.
  • Infringe on the intellectual property rights of any third party.
  • Violate any applicable law or regulation.
  • Reverse-engineer, exploit, scrape, or attempt to disrupt the Service itself.
  • Abuse the API or automated tooling to exceed reasonable usage limits.

4. Uploaded Files

Files you upload are processed solely for the purpose of obfuscation. Uploaded files and their obfuscated outputs are retained temporarily and deleted automatically after a short expiry period. We do not share, sell, or analyze your files beyond what is strictly required to provide the Service.

You are solely responsible for the content of files you upload. By uploading a file you represent and warrant that you have the legal right to do so and that the file does not violate these Terms.

5. Accounts and Authentication

Access to the Service requires authentication via Discord OAuth. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Discord account. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access for any account found to be in violation of these Terms.

6. Subscriptions and Payments

ILSentinel offers a free tier and paid subscription tiers. Paid subscriptions are billed through Discord's built-in monetization platform (SKU entitlements). By subscribing you agree to Discord's payment terms in addition to these Terms.

Subscription benefits (access to additional obfuscation modules, increased file size limits, and private enterprise features) are tied to an active entitlement. If a subscription lapses or is refunded, access to those features is removed. We do not issue refunds directly — disputes must be handled through Discord's refund process.

7. Intellectual Property

The ILSentinel name, logo, and all Service software are the property of ILSentinel and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the Service without our prior written consent.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not guarantee that obfuscated output will be free of errors, that the Service will be uninterrupted, or that obfuscation will prevent all forms of reverse engineering.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, ILSentinel and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including loss of profits, data, or business — arising from your use of or inability to use the Service, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total liability for any claim arising under these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the twelve months preceding the claim.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless ILSentinel and its operators from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, your uploaded files, or your violation of these Terms.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms. You may stop using the Service at any time. All provisions that by their nature should survive termination — including disclaimers, limitations of liability, and indemnification — will do so.

12. Modifications to the Terms

We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation before pursuing any other remedy.
